Proposed Recycling Project

Discussion for a proposed recycling project happened at the August 4th, 2009 Town Council Meeting.  Some proposed details include:

• All proceeds would go to the Swimming Pool Fund.
• Councilman Zamora will oversee the construction of a "cage" to hold aluminum cans.
• The town waste contractor is looking for donations of 6-yard dumpster to recycle paper, cardboard, glass and plastic.
• There's a possibility to have a program with the youth for home collection of recycle waste.
• With total tonnage reduced, our monthly waste cart rate may potentially be lowered.
