Town Calendar

Regular Town Meetings held the first and third Tuesday of every month at 5:00 pm in the Council Meeting Room located at 107 1/2 N. Roosevelt.

Mountainair Gas, Water & Trash billing: Meters are read the 15th of the prior month. Bills are due and payable by the 20th of each month. Penalties will run on the 21st of each month. Disconnects will occur on the 6th of the following month. No payment arrangements are accepted.

Saturday, May 2, 2020 4-7PM  "Cowgirl Attitude"

Ray Darnell, one of our resident artists, will be presenting a new series of paintings for this show focusing on a particular local Southwestern iconic figure, the cowgirl. Ray's cowgirls capture and hold his audience with their eyes allowing the viewer to linger further over the entirety of his paintings.

Ray's show will remain hanging through the month of June.

Meet the artist, enjoy music in the hotel lobby, sip on wine available for purchase from Black Smuggler's Vineyards of Belen, New Mexico.  Make a reservation for dinner, if you like at the Shaffer Hotel Café.



Saturday, July 11, 2020 4-7PM:  Sculpture in ceramic and wood

Works by artists, Kathy Baur and Dean Schroeder will be the focus of this show. 

Meet the artists, enjoy white and red sangria from Jaramillo Vineyards, (available for purchase in the Shaffer Hotel lobby) while you view the artwork or enjoy a meal served at The Shaffer Hotel Café.

Traditional and contemporary Native American Jewelry

Zeke Naabaahii Argeanas creates his jewelry using the traditional methods employed by his people before "the long walk."

Robert Rosetta, from Santo Domingo Pueblo creates contemporary jewelry using traditional and modern techniques.
